Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy
SCC offers municipalities whole systems analysis for improving their energy efficiency, while considering the benefits of renewable energy.
Sweeping changes are transforming the power sector and the future of economic rural development will be centered on community-based renewable energy systems and opportunities to capitalize on local resources.
SCC takes an ecosystem-based approach to energy systems design by applying economic and engineering optimization tools to a landscape focus for rural energy planning that links strongly to biodiversity conservation and traditional ecological knowledge. The designs are then conceptualized for regional-scale distributed energy systems with integrated bioenergy, wind and solar resource assessments.
